LAURA KOAN
Co-founder, organizer, teacher and resident DJ of the blues scene in Milan/Italy. Laura fell in love with blues dancing 3 years ago after first loving the music for over 20 years. She travels to train, dance, and DJ around Europe and the US. Always a music junkie, she even loved being in charge of the playlist at school and house parties in her teens.

NICOLE TRISSELL

Nicole has been a dancer all her life, but when she first danced to the heartfelt sounds of blues music, in a small, back alley studio, she fell hard. Nicole enjoys a wide variety of blues and jazz music, from Bessie Smith to Aretha Franklin and as an instructor, DJ and dancer, she especially loves highlighting female vocalists.

ROSS WOODS
“Dr Ross” is a blues DJ and dancer living in Bristol, who originally hails from New Zealand. He helps organize DJs for weekly blues socials and weekend events in Bristol, and loves to occasionally DJ out of town. He’s been a passionate blues fan for 35 years, with a special affection for pre-1970 blues. He publishes all his set lists (see Facebook) as a way of sharing the love, and his favourite podcast is ‘Blues Unlimited.’

STEFANO RONCHI

Italian blues guitarist and singer living in Berlin, Germany. He’s opened live shows for major international artists and played with Chicago blues legend Billy Branch, contemporary blues luminary Lurrie Bell, James Wheeler, Mary Lane, Josephine Howell, and more.

JAE WILSON
His sets have sparked impromptu jam circles as well as uncontrollable shouting, cheering, leering jeering and nonstop dancing. ‘Nuff said. Let’s dance.
